Yes! The AvaProxy Client is completely free to use.
The AvaProxy Server is also free during its preview/testing phase. Once the preview ends, it will be limited to 3 free users per server instance. This keeps things sustainable while still supporting personal and small-scale usage at no cost.
💡 For larger deployments, future versions of AvaProxy Server may offer affordable premium plans—but the core client will always remain free.
AvaProxy is both.
The AvaProxy Client acts like a VPN on your device, so you benefit from VPN-like protection and privacy.
But behind the scenes, it uses a custom-built protocol—called Ava Protocol—to encrypt your data and transmit it over various transport layers (like TCP, UDP, and others). This allows AvaProxy to adapt and stay connected, even when some common protocols are blocked by governments or networks.
So while it behaves like a VPN for ease of use, it’s powered by a flexible, censorship-resistant engine that goes far beyond traditional proxy or VPN solutions.
No. By default, AvaProxy Server does not log or track any of your online activity—we don’t store browsing history, connection timestamps, or IP addresses.
However, if you're connecting to a custom or third-party AvaProxy server, those server owners may choose to enable logging.
When this happens, the AvaProxy Client will detect it and warn you, so you can decide whether or not to continue using that server.

Currently, AvaProxy uses Cloudflare’s Family-Friendly DNS service to block adult content at the DNS level.
This feature is currently available in the Android version of AvaProxy (preview release). The Windows version is in active development and will include the same protection soon.
Looking ahead, we also plan to introduce an additional layer of local filtering within the app to offer even stronger safeguards.
Note: This feature is built-in and cannot be disabled, as AvaProxy is committed to providing a safe and family-friendly experience by default.
